Glenn is our Senior Heritage Officer and manager of nghheritage, a subsidiary of nghenvironmental. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science from Charles Sturt University and a Postgraduate Diploma of Cultural Heritage from Deakin University, Victoria. Glenn has a broad range of experience from his background with the NSW Department of Environment & Climate Change (DECC) working within their Parks & Wildlife Division where he was employed in the roles of Park Ranger and Project Officer (Heritage) from 2000 to early 2006. From this experience, Glenn has additional skills in environmental assessment, and has provided specialist heritage input to environmental projects that require a heritage assessment component. Glenn’s heritage experience includes preparation of Heritage Conservation reports such as Conservation Management Plans (CMP) and Heritage Action Statements (HAS) for projects with DECC. Examples include preparation of a CMP for historic Alexander’s Hut, in the South East Forests National Park, NSW. Glenn has additional experience working for the ACT Heritage Office, assessing the impact of development applications on historic heritage places in the ACT, and assessing the significance of sites nominated to the ACT Heritage Register. Glenn’s heritage assessment experience with nghheritage and nghenvironmental has included the preparation of a number of Heritage Impact Statements and Assessments for agencies such as DECC, the NSW Roads & Traffic Authority and the NSW Department of Commerce. In addition, Glenn is also experienced in the application of the philosophy of the Burra Charter, and is a full member of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) Australia. He also has a sound knowledge of Commonwealth and State Heritage and Environment Acts, including the Heritage Act and National Parks and Wildlife Act.
