Joshua was born in and raised in the Bega Valley, where he always held a keen interest in the environment. After finishing high school at Bega, Josh started studying Environmental Science at the UTS in Sydney, but he just wanted to be in the bush, so he returned to the south coast. During this time he worked in a number of different positions and also started doing some volunteering with landcare and work at an injured wildlife refuge. This rekindled Josh's interest in the environment, so he resumed his studies at Wollongong University, completing a Bachelor of Science (Environmental) degree in 2006. Josh has recently spent some time travelling overseas, where he lived in the UK for nine months, Berlin for over a month and travelled through Europe. Josh is passionate about music, have been playing the guitar for over 15 years. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter, mostly performing solo around the south coast. Josh's skills include bush/riparian restoration, fauna handling, field sampling of soils, water, and biological transects. With nghenvironmental Josh has prepared several REFs for roadworks and he is rapidly expanding his skills and familiarity with the NSW planning process.
