Phil is nghenvironmental’s geographic information systems (GIS) expert, specialising in the use of ARCVIEW and pc ARC/INFO. Major projects undertaken by Phil for nghenvironmental have included projects over the last four years to update forest ecosystem mapping of extensive areas within south eastern NSW. These have included updating maps for South East Forests National Parks, Kooraban, Gulaga, and Murramarang National Parks, Brush, Belowla & Tollgate Islands Nature Reserves. Phil also prepared the GIS component of vegetation mapping for all of NSW ski resort areas completed for Planning NSW.
Phil has also prepared environmental impact assessment documents for several projects in the South East Forests, and undertaken data analysis and mapping for many EIA’s for nghenvironmental.
Phil has been involved in environmental planning work since 1974, while working with the National Capital Development Commission and the National Capital Authority in Canberra. He has undertaken many ecological surveys including a number of vegetation mapping projects, land use planning for parks and reserves, and numerous environmental impact assessments and EISs.
